The biggest farmers market this side of Toronto. Saturdays are the busiest days, but the market is also opened Thursdays, and Tuesdays in the peak summer season. Interact with Mennonite and other local vendors. It's worth the crowds and wait for local delights like maple syrup, apple fritters, and cheese curds. The market is accessible by car and public transit.

Sightseeing

A great little town about a half hour drive from Kitchener. It has outdoor activities, shops, and entertainment. If you're into nature take a walk on the Kissing Bridge Trail, or visit the Elora Gorge Conservation Area. For an upscale day book a dinner, spa treatment, or overnight stay at the Elora Mill. If small town shops in beautiful historic towns are your thing make a day of looking for antiques or other treasures. If you do spend the day shopping be sure to check out the Cordial Clove Bookstore - tell Kim that Kerri and Mike sent you!

City/town information

Niagara Falls has something for everyone! It is about a 2 hour drive from Kitchener, but there are often tour buses, or casino packages that include transportation available though local travel agents or bus lines. You can spend a day at the Falls themselves taking tours under the falls, or seeing the falls by boat or helicopter. The falls at night are less crowded, and more romantic. Enjoy a stroll with a special someone. Year round there are evening light shows as the falls. Away from the falls, Clifton Hill is like a year round carnival with every thing from wax museums, to mini golf, to giant ferris wheels and indoor waterparks. Niagara Falls also boasts two casinos and countless restaurants, bars and other entertainment venues. If you're into wine, or more subdued entertainment visit neighbouring Niagara on the Lake. It's Ontario's Napa Valley full of wineries and distilleries. It's also home to the Shaw Festival.
