Parks & Nature
The zoo is located within Franklin Park. The zoo is a great activity with kids, but there is also a golf course in the park, a wilderness area, great trails for running, tennis courts, and it is a great spot for kite flying also. The park was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead and is part of the Emerald Necklace - a series of parks in Boston. Franklin park borders the Forest Hills Cemetery and the Arnold Arboretum, two other great parks to visit.
