Hundreds of Cretans and Turks were killed; giving real meaning to the battle cry of Crete - “freedom or death”! November 8th is a day of celebrations in Arkadi and Rethymno.

The main temple is built on the south courtyard. Outside the temple stands a beautiful Venetian fountain, while the main entrance is imposing.
