Jerome, located near the top of Cleopatra Hill between Prescott and Flagstaff sits this historic copper mining town. Once known as the wickedest town in the west, Jerome was born a copper mining camp, growing from a settlement of tents into a roaring mining community. Promoted as a historic ghost town, today Jerome is a thriving tourist and artist hub. Pro Tip- Eat lunch at the Asylum Restaurant for amazing views of the Verde Valley. Voted the best UTV rental service in Sedona for several years in a row. Use the discount code provided at the house to receive a discount on your rental. You will probably want to book ahead if you are planning a UTV trip on a holiday weekend, otherwise you can usually book when you get here. PRO TIP - When you rent, they will tell you not to cut any cookies as it is the easiest way to tip one of these bad boys over. They are NOT LYING to you. Just so you know, a roll-over usually causes in excess of $2500 damage. When you cut cookies, you load the suspension and when a tire grabs, which it will, all you are going to see is sky, ground, sky, ground, sky, ground, ambulance! A good way to ruin an otherwise SUPER FUN experience. If off-roading isn't for you, rent one of the sling-shots and take an on-pavement tour. Make sure you visit Red Rock Loop Road and take a spin down to the Village of Oak Creek and out Verde Valley School Road. A trip up Oak Creek Canyon is warranted as well.
