Originally the Hot Sulphur Schoolhouse built in 1924, the Pioneer Village Museum was tranformed into a museum in 1974. Learn about tools of Grand County inhabitants, pioneer clothing and historic Grand County artifacts on display at the museum. Make sure not to miss the impressive skiing display that highlights the humble beginnings of a major Colorado industry over 100 years ago right here in Hot Sulphur Springs. Also at the Pioneer Village Museum, there are artifacts up to 8,500 years old from the Windy Gap, which have revolutionized archaeological thinking. This small town museum has big time history to share.

Visit Pioneer Park, adjacent to the hot springs, and play a round of disc golf or follow the walking paths along the Colorado River. Amazing fishing spots and a 2-mile loop from our home's front door that is great for walking, jogging, and running.
