Railgarten is a quick 8 minute walk (0.4 miles) from our home. It's a great place to get a beer or a quick bite to eat, and it offers cornhole, pool, volleyball, and a giant playground. Railgarten hosts a variety of bands - local and out-of-towners - on a huge outdoor stage.

Crosstown Brewing is next door with locally-inspired beers. Check out the exhibits and performances at Crosstown Arts and Crosstown Theater.

Sun Studio is my favorite musical museum in Memphis. The tour guides are knowledgeable, and most are musicians themselves. Sun Studios is where Elvis was discovered and where other musical legends have recorded (and continue to record).

Overton Park is a nice green space in midtown with a dog park and wide walking/biking trails. If you wander off the larger paved paths, you’ll find yourself in the Old Forest, the “only old-growth forest in the Southeast to be located in an urban environment.”

Go Ape is a high-ropes adventure course in the park that has miles of self-guided obstacle courses and zip lines.
