At the end of putty beach are some wooden stairs. Walk the coastal walk to Maitland Bay. Swim, pic Nic, walk back.
The walk is 45-60 mins one way. A lovely excursion with kids.

On those few days that it is stinking hot, head to Wagstaffe jetty with the kids and dog. There is always a lovely breeze and there are trees to sit in the shade. Kids jump off the jetty and dogs play in the water. There is also the local shop that sells ice creams and hot chips.

While the Surf life Club side of the beach is great in the morning, also patrolled, Putty beach at the end of Killcare beach is the place to be at the end of a summers day. Stunning. Take some drinks and watch the sun set.
