North Ferry is just as it sounds. It is a vehicle and passenger vessel that travels from Greenport to Shelter Island. Shelter Island Heights has a hand full of boutiques and two cafes that is just a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal. Anything further requires transportation. It isn't exactly North Fork but it is nice side attraction. To experience the ferry on foot is $2 each way or round trip vehicle is $18 (Cash Only).
