I Love Old Savanna despite the 3 star rating. OK, its not 5 star but the location on the river and the space is beautiful. The prices are also extremely reasonable, $26 for steak frites with green beans, its like 1990's LOL

if you have wheels can travel & wish to see a little winter wonderland I personally love The Emerson Hotel, about 25 min west of kingston, it kinda has it all, quite chic to feel a wee luxury, very reasonable with a little cafe salads etc and beautiful grounds. REALLY kid friendly, lots of different libraries by the fire to sit and read & play games.
