Catch the AirPorter 380 to Papatoetoe Train station (catch the Manukau direction bus, and get off at Papatoetoe) then catch a train right into downtown central Auckland. Trains leave approx every 10 mins. Purchase tickets on platform with cash or cards.

Catch the AirPorter 380 to Papatoetoe Train station (catch the Manukau direction bus, and get off at Papatoetoe) then catch a train right into downtown central Auckland. Trains leave approx every 10 mins. Purchase tickets on platform with cash or cards.
Note, the Sky Bus no longer departs or arrives from downtown Auckland. It is a 15-20 min walk from the upper Queen Street stop to downtown.
For weekday/weekend day arrivals and departures (described towards the airport here) take a train to Papatoetoe, and transfer for a short ride to the Airport on the Onehunga or Airport bound AirPorter380 service. Easy as.
For arrivals into the city take the Manukau bound AirPorter380 bus to Papatoetoe train station, and a train to Britomart train station.
The SkyBus is still a good option for later arrivals into the city when trains finish.
