A little hidden shack that was voted best fried chicken in town several times over. In the 70's you could find this food chain all the way from Mississippi to Massachusetts. Today this location is one of the last two remaining, so make sure you stop by, pick some up and take it back to enjoy every single fingerlicking piece. It's so good, you'll be thinking about it for days, weeks or even years. Don't forget to order the jalopeno rice on the side. It's a little spicy but absolutely delicious!

Best place to grab breakfast in town if you want a fulfilling meal with a little soul. This cultural relic dates back to the greats of Motown eating there, and the second location in Hollywood will offer celebrity sightings regularly. It's one of Snoop's favorite restaurants and even President Barack Obama has come in for their delicious food. Stop by early to try to beat the long lines, especially if you're on your way to hang out in Manhattan Beach. It is so good that it may be hard to not encounter a wait, regardless what day of the week.

There are many Boiling Crabs in Los Angeles, and if I had no conscious or soul I would send you to a location closer to us. This is the first (and in my mind the only) Boiling Crab and as much as the others try, they just can not hold a torch to the original flame. No need to dress up, just be prepared to eat. Colette Miller's street art "Angel Wings" are now featured all over the world, but they first popped up in Los Angeles in 2012.
