San Cristóbal de La Laguna
The ancient capital of the island, La Laguna holds the Bishop's Palace and the First University of the Canary Islands. Convents, churches, pedestrian streets full of little restaurants and terraces make it a nice place to go for a walk and to enjoy the flavour of a city whose plan was reproduced in the cities the Spaniards founded in America.
The fishing village of Puerto de la Cruz became the first tourist resort of the island in the 60s, before the development of the south coast of the island. It is surrounded by banana plantations and vegetation. The centre of the town keeps its traditional flavour and it is worth a stroll. The main attraction is Loro Parque, a zoological park with a huge aquarium, dolphins, seals, whales, penguins, etc...

Puerto de la Cruz station
The fishing village of Puerto de la Cruz became the first tourist resort of the island in the 60s, before the development of the south coast of the island. It is surrounded by banana plantations and vegetation. The centre of the town keeps its traditional flavour and it is worth a stroll. The main attraction is Loro Parque, a zoological park with a huge aquarium, dolphins, seals, whales, penguins, etc...

It used to be a fresh fish restaurant but it was recently transformed into a trattoria with hundreds of different sorts of pizza. The prices are absolutely low.
