There is a local market on a Wednesday and Saturday. When you've finished your shopping make like a local act like a local and stop for a drink in the Bar Central, before going home.

Also in Montagnc. In the summer they often have live music on a Friday. The food isn't as good as next door, but the burgers are good and they have great fries cooked in beef fat if you just fancy a snack.

Moustiers St Marie is 25Km away and a 30minute drive. It’s well worth a visit. It’s famous for it’s a gold-painted star which hangs on a 225m-long chain suspended between two cliffs. Its origin, according to a legend, lies in the 10th century, (the original star and chain have been replaced several times since then). According to the legend, during the Crusades the knight Bozon de Blacas was held prisoner by the Saracens; he vowed to hang a star over his village if he was able to return! The village is built on platform terraces a hundred or so metres up the side of the cliff. At twilight when the sun on a clear day strikes the south-facing cliff, a diffuse pink light glows across the village.

This beautiful old town is full of artisan workshops. It has great views and plenty of restaurants to choose from . But be aware it gets very busy in the summer so go early.
