Addington - where our home is located - provides easy access to Hagley Park, The Christchurch Hospital, The Botanic Gardens and all the attractions of the central city. It borders South Hagley park is a couple of kms to the city. Addington itself is a mixed suburb with an interesting history (recent and past), it is home to The Court Theatre, the Addington raceway, horncastle arena and rugby stadium. Catch a show or attend the weekly scared scriptless improv comedy shows after dinner. Base do excellent pizza and the mulled wine in the winter is superb.

This was the Christchurch Women's prison from 1874 until 1999. it is now a backpackers but you can go in and look around at the amazing building - they keep one or two rooms original for viewing.
