The best place to try seafood and fish straight from the fisherman. A really great place is on the street of Vasco do Gama, and it's called Casa do pescador. Watch out for the size of the dishes! They are hugeeee!!! Like a dish that is for 2 people (2pax) is actually suitable for 6..!

Very traditional and typical portuguese restaurant! Only for the ones looking for a super portugguese experience. Maria Rita is a place that mostly locals go to. You can eat there very cheap and traditional food, drink very good house wine and try bagasso- a very strong portuguese drink at the end of the meal. The staff is always in a hurry and sometimes they don't waste time for long pleasantries and can ignore you a little ;p It's better to make a reservation couse the place is always full! Overall experience is great!
