Nice place to spend some hours in. Especially with children, it is quite nice. In addition to the many buildings and gardens of the castle, there are some animals. Best is to combine with a half day trip to Sozopol then.

Usually from beginning of July until end of August, the festival of sand sculptures is taking place, at the very end of the Sea Garden (lazur). A great experience for children but also for adults.

Do not exchange any money at the airport....
Exchange rates at the Airport are way to high. Also, in very touristic places, you’ll pay higher commission fees or get an infavorable rate. Best is to exchange in the center town of burgas in well established places.
