Food scene

This is one of the places that I take every tourist that visits Prague. They have traditional food, good beer, reasonable prices, a garden during summer and the staff speaks english.

Public Transport tickets

You can buy tickets at the yellow machine at the U Zvonu tram stations (50m away from the flat) You can pay by cash (czk only) or card. Machine supports english, czech, german as languages. Single tickets can be used as many times you need it within the time period specified in the ticket. If you are staying in Prague for more than 24 hours, always buy a daily ticket (110czk ~ 3.2 euros) It's very cheap and it will give you access to metros/buses/trams. If you stay longer than 3 days than use the 3 days tickets. It's enough you validate your ticket only once.

Exchange places

Please be careful with the exchange rates in Prague. Always check the exchange rate online before doing any transactions. Always ask the cashier if commission is included. (don't accept to pay a commission) I recommend asking them in this way: "How much Korona will I get for 100euros?" Most likely they will not speak english and will be obliged to write down the amount for you. Always count your money at the exchange rate. I would recommend having a knowledge of the czech currencies and how they look like (there has been cases where tourists were given old money and not valid)
