St. Malo is a wonderful town right on the coast. Drive into the older town, park up and wander around to your hearts content. It's a great place for lunch, or to watch a game of petanque, and there are some lovely specialist shops here too.

If you're visiting north west France you can't go wrong with a visit to the site of the DD landings and this is one of the museums in the area. From here it's a short drive to the American Cemetery which is well worth a visit. An educational, yet somber day out.

This unique museum is all about milk, it's history and it's uses. There are workshops showing how butter and cheese are made and there is a nice shop at the end with all sorts of diary products and yummy cheeses!
