Food scene within 3 miles
Black salt has the best happy hour in terms of ambiance, prices, and highest quality seafood. I often stop by after work on my way home for a quick bite and drinks with friends. My favorites are fresh oysters, calamari, provincial seafood stew, beer battered fish and chips, and the best wood grilled cheeseburger I’ve ever had!

One of my favorite places for pizzas, pastas, and burgers. Happy hour all day Mondays and Tuesdays at the bar area. Their wild mushroom truffle pizza is out of this world delicious!

This park is beloved by both adults and children. My children grew up riding this carousel weekly especially during the summers. It is also a home to resident artists, a thriving social dance venue called Spanish Ballroom with drop in classes followed by actual dancing in front of a live band, numerous art studios and galleries, photography classes, and children’s theatre. There are also free summer concerts, festivals, and special events making it a premier Washington area amusement park.

It is also a home to resident artists, a thriving social dance venue called Spanish Ballroom with drop in classes followed by actual dancing in front of a live band, numerous art studios and galleries, photography classes, and children’s theatre. There are also free summer concerts, festivals, and special events making it a premier Washington area amusement park.
This is an incredible outdoor amenity only 10 minutes walk from our place! The scenic winding pathway is perfect for walking, running, and biking surrounded by history and nature. It’s breathtaking landscape can be appreciated all four seasons.

The Capital Crescent Trail is one of the most heavily used rail trails in the United States and is used by more than 1 million walkers, joggers, bikers, skateboarders and rollerbladers each year. I used this lovely trail on nice days running or biking to downtown Bethesda or Georgetown underneath a canopy of native trees along the Potomac River and enjoy every season!
Tip: Grab a bike from the Capital Bikeshare station at Woodmont Ave & Strathmore St in Bethesda, MD and ride downhill toward Georgetown, DC. The 7 miles ride will take 45 minutes.

Nordstrom is one of many stores located in this massive shopping center. There’s also stadium style theater and popular chain restaurants. This shopping center is approximately 20 min drive from our place. A must if you are a shopaholic like me :).
