Neighborhoods
We are situated on the North-Western side of the island, facing the picturesque Limestone Karsks of Phang Nga Bay, illuminated in bright splashes of blue, orange, purple, and pink during sunset. The national park and world-renowned 'Big Tree' (a 300-year old Hopea Beccariana) is a 1.5 hr forest hike or 20 min boat ride away, while to the south, a local Fisherman's village, community market, rice fields, mushroom farm, and coconut plantations are available for visitors to explore.
The other side of the island has more lively activities such as the Koh Yao Noi Muay Thai camp, several bars and restaurants, a hidden waterfall, and a local women's community that sells and teaches various cultural handicrafts.
All throughout the island, one can experience idyllic beaches, unique birds like the Hornbill and Blue Winged Fairy Bird, and the simple pleasures of preserved island life.
