A lovely area and beach although not as good as Gylly Beach in my opinion.Seaside cafe.More great walks from there to Maenporth.

Set on a headland with breathtaking views out to sea, Pendennis Castle is one of Henry VIII’s finest coastal fortresses. The picturesque castle has defended Cornwall since Tudor times and played a vital role during the two World Wars. Today, you can experience the sights and sounds of battle, meet costumed characters from Pendennis’ past, look out for enemies, and witness the daily firing of a historic gun (Apr – Oct). Don't miss our fascinating exhibition, 'Fortress Falmouth and the First World War', which examines life at the castle during WW1.

Great local pub.Part of history

A unusual pub really.Groaning with character(s) but not all the characters are groaning.Depends how long they've been in the pub.Try the pool table with open fire at the rear.Live music regularly.Apparently the snack- type food is very good but we haven't actually eaten there yet. It's opposite the alarming Jacob's Ladder stairs leading down to The Moor.Hence the name.Once tried, never forgotten. Those stairs are breathtaking!

Another unusual one.Its like a library with alcohol, and none the worse for that.Unless you've sampled too much of the alcohol. You can never have enough of a good book though!Nice cafe adjoining too.
