Popular street food area in the old industrial area of Refshaleøen. There is a beautiful waterfront with a lot of houseboats, on the way there, and a very chill atmosphere at the place. Perfect for a chill night with good food and beer. The priceses are a little high, but not overly expensive.

Ali-bageri is a hidden treasure on outer Nørrebro. They've opened a new shop right around the corner from my place, which is not as good as the original. So find the one on Heimdalsgade and get their brunch plate. You have to go into the yard of an apartment complex, and it does not look like a place with a bakery... looks kind of sketchy, but that just add's to the experience!

Restaurant close to "Inderhavnsbroen" which is the bridge connecting the old Nyhavn area with Christianshavn. Nyhavn can be a bit touristy, but still a nice place to visit, and i believe this restaurant is one of the less travelled, as it is a bit more secluded. They have fresh fish, and serves a variant of classic danish cuisine.

Probably the most recommended place to visit when in Copenhagen. It's is an old military base that was squatted by hippies back in 1971. It is a place with a lot of culture, nice restaurants, cafees, theaters and venues, but is most known for it's open hash market. Weed can be bought on the street from permanent stands, and it has been like that since the beginning. At first the hippies ran it themselves, insisting that weed was not a hard drug (also why no hard drugs are sold on Christiania), but now it has been taken over by gangs (skinheads), which makes the vibe a little less welcomming. Overall the area is still amazing and if the bald blokes makes you uneasy, move away from "green light district" as they call it, and venture into the deeper parts of the area, where you will see a ton of home made houses that looks like they've been taken out of an old fairytail.

Hipster street with a ton of different arts and craft shops, great restaurants, and cafees. It's a bit expensive, but it's all unique and definitely worth a visit!

Tivoli is the second oldest amusement park in the world (the oldest one is Dyrehavsbakken, which is also worth a visit). It has beautiful gardens, tons of activities and is a really great place for a sunny sommer evening. It might however be a bit crowded... and it's not really cheap.

Good place for a wild night out. It is the clubbing area of Copenhagen. Prepare to stand in line and to have people take drugs openly in front of you. Music is of varying quality, but if you want to let lose it's a place where no one will judge.

It is run by the people from the old "ungdomshuset" (the youth house), which was a squatted building on Jagtvej 69 that became a hub for young artists and free spirits, but was shut down and torn down in 2007. This did not happen quitly and there was fights with the police and fire in the streets for days. Bolsjefabrikken is 100% legal, so you don't have to worry about police raids!
