The Forêt de Bonifato is a great place to visit to see a different kind of landscape. About 30 minutes from Calvi's beaches and rocky coast there is the forest covered mountains of this national park. There are many hiking trails, some easy some more difficult, through the forest. There is also a great river to swim in or walk up if you want a more interesting path to follow.

Essentials
This supermarket (has Drive option but is also a full size Casino) is a bit cheaper than Super U, especially during the tourist season. I still prefer Super U for well priced local Corsican products (meat, cheese, canistrelli, jams, honey, etc), and because it is within walking distance (5-10 minutes just turn right at the bottom of the hill and it will be on your right behind the BP gas station).

Casino Drive Calvi

This store is about 30 minutes away, at the roundabout just as you enter Ile-Rousse. It's much larger and the prices are better than Casino and Super U if you want to make the trip to stock up. It also has a wider variety of products including foreign products.

This restaurant, tucked away off Boulevard Wilson on the little street that cuts down to the pink church, has excellent fresh and local food. It's a great place for dinner (I'm not sure if they also serve lunch) The menu changes often and they are friendly and accommodating as well.

It's usually only open on weekends and often has live music before the DJ comes on in the later hours. It has two outdoor terraces with a beautiful view overlooking Calvi where you can have some drinks before going inside to dance.

They have correctly priced coffees and drinks, and you can either people watch outside or get some peace and quiet on the comfy couch inside.
