The jetty is quite vivid and there are bars and boats with pubs from Jiráskův most to Výtoň and the railway bridge. The center for nightlife is Bajkazyl by the middle bridge. Good also during the day.

You can't get more local than in this pub called "At the hippo". Even though you rarely find a spot, but it is still worth a shot, totally!

Very different place - a container bar in a little parking lot behind the tall green house, right at the riverside. Great views, Djs, overall good vibe. And table tennis.

Drinks, views, DJs on weekend and fresh food from popular restaurants on bigger nights. You can sit around the monument base or anywhere in the park.

A terrace restaurant sitting on the hill side with amazing view of Prague. It is the one further from the funicular, closer to the American Embassy garden. Beautiful place to walk anyway.

Right across the street from U Rudolfina pub, Mistral offers a nice modern alternative with a bit of fusion cuisine, good also just for coffe or a quick lunch. Named café, it is a restaurant actually.

Great combo - modern Czech fusion from local and fresh supplies only and beers from small breweries. I prefer Kocour and Matuška breweries, but all are great here. Preferably needs a booking.

A great stop in the amazing Nový Svět quater that should be missed. Very nice stuff, very fair prices, homemade snacks and soups and sitting either in the cobbled street or on a tiny balcony inside!

New pub that belongs to the Lobkowicz brewery group, which has a couple of fair medium sized breweries under their wings. Good selection of beers and fair food.
Down in the cellar. It seems to have got more expensive lately.

It is actually a butcher store, that makes meat products for Ambiente restaurants (Lokal etc..), but you can also eat here, like it always used to be in old butcher stores (and still is in some). The staff is really friendly and you can have any piece of meat grilled or get one of the specials or sausages. Good to come late or early, it gets pretty busy around lunch and dinner time.

Everybody walks up to the castle via Nerudova street mostly. If going up during the day, I suggest this way, after the street ends, you cross thru the orchard and come to the castle from the top.

One of the oldest parts of Prague, up on a hilltop, great views and atmospehere, really worth the climb. It can be reached by subway also, to Vysehrad station on the red line.
