Moniave really is Scotland's best kept secret. There are 2 great pubs, a super coffee shop and a lovely Italian restaurant. There are different music and craft festivals throughout the year such as the Moniave Folk Festival and the legendary Moniave Bluegrass Festival. If you are in the know you may be looking for a place to stay near the village for one of the many events. Our house is perfectly located as we are only a 5 minute drive away.

Drumlanrig Castle is a must see if you are staying in this area. It is the jewel in the crown of the extensive Buccleuch estate. This castle is set if finest Dumfries & Galloway country side and really speaks for itself. Drumlanrig Castle also hosts the Electric Fields festival which makes our house the perfect place to stay if fancy an upgrade from camping! We are 5 miles away.
