A few blocks up on off 132nd Street is Revolution Books for books, buttons, open mics (some Friday nights) and readings from famous authors. (Check their schedules).

Catch glimpses of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. If you wish to walk around, there is a museum on Staten Island OR you can simply take a return ferry.
If it's summer, then there are the beaches (like Coney Island - with the amusement park as well), all only a train-ride away!
