Hiking
1.2 mile out and back trail starting 1/2 mile from the house taking you to a beautiful waterfall. The trail is rated moderate mostly due to the elevation change down to the waterfall that you have to hike back up. However, it's not technical and is kid and dog friendly.

Popular trail head 6 miles from the house with parking and bathrooms. It's about 8.5miles to Calloway Peak with the first 2 miles being relatively easy increasing in steepness and difficulty at the end including steps and ladders.

Drive or hike to the top of Grandfather Mountain and walk the swinging bridge for breathtaking views. There's not much hiking needed when driving to the top but be prepared for the wind.
