The best beer in town and great food. It doesn't have the history and tour of the Speights Brewery but the booze is far superior. Try a tasting platter.

Allans Beach, not the road! unsealed but not difficult. Easy drive (unsealed road) from Portabello but an easy walk with sea lions and penguins, of an evening.

Victory Beach. Bit harder to get to than Sandfly or Allans Beaches, you'll have to ditch the car and walk but its wonderfully desolate if you have the time and such an inclination.

often overlooked by 24 hour tourists but if you have good weather and a few days to spare this is a nice half day excursion, especially with kids. check out long beach or Dr's Point at the same time.
