Harmony Hall, a 2 minute walk from the Waves, is home to Summer House Restaurant (elevated Jamaican Cuisine, https://www.summerhouseja.com), The Butcher Block (a well stocked Deli) and shopping opportunities.
Built in the late 1850s, it was the Estate house of a small pimento and lime plantation. Between 1937-1940, it was home to Sir Hugh Sherlock, who wrote the lyrics of the Jamaica National Anthem, Land We Love.

This is a lovely art gallery with lots of local art for purchase and a relaxing cafe when you could enjoy a lovely lunch.

Food scene
There are several restaurants within easy walking distance.
Immediately across the street and to the left is PGs Italian Restaurant and wine bar - good Italian food, a little pricey, good wine selection.
A little beyond that is Tower Restaurant and Bar which serves good Jamaican food including Curry Goat and Chicken, Jerk Chicken and seafood dishes.
If you keep going, 2 mins after is Marsh Restaurant and cafe. Good local cuisine.
Summer House at Harmony Hall is across the street and to the right, an easy 4 minute walk. Summer House serves elevated Jamaican fusion fare. A bit pricey but good serve and attentive staff.
2 minutes across the road and to the left is PG's Restaurant and Wine Bar. Don't let the simplicity of PG's exterior fool you. This is a very good Italian restaurant with with an extensive wine list and Pierre-Luigi is always up for a chat.

Beaches anyone?
There are so many beaches in the area, each with their distinctive charm.
For a small fee ($200JMD) you can access Ocho Rio Bay Beach in the heart of Ocho Rios. The beach is secure, has silky soft white sand and water so calm and clear you’ll see schools of little fish swimming around from the shore. You can also rent beach chairs and there are eating spots o the beach.

We have to include Reggae Beach because although it is presently closed to the public, it is an amazing beach a short 7 mins walk from the condo. It is under new ownership and will hopefully soon reopen.

Sugar Pot Beach is a charming hidden gem of a beach. A serene, unspoiled natural beach with a charming bar and rustic restaurant. The entry fee if you bring your own food and drink is $1000/person and $500/person if you order from the restaurant. Finding it is part of the adventure. G00gle maps may not take you to where you want to go, but Waze has worked well for us. In short, heading East on the A3 turn Left immediately after the "Cool Oasis" gas station and follow the road as it curves to the right. The road is unpaved in parts but easily drivable. Follow the road all the way to the end.
The restaurant serves up popular local cuisine and the menu changes depending on availability, but we've never been disappointed.
