At the end of the Kilchattan Bay, there is a fantastic circular walk that takes you over rugged coastal rocks, rolling hills, ruins and woodland. 5 miles - best for intermediate walkers with good footwear!

This a much quieter beach than the others, and lovely for a peaceful walk along the coast. You will often sea seals at the far right end, so keep a look out!

Rothesay town centre is small, but offers a good variety of shops, tea rooms and of course, a castle - right in the middle! The Visitors Centre (pictured) has all the info you need, including local events.

After a walk along the beach (and over to the bird hide at the far end), warm yourself up with a spot of lunch at Ettrick Bay Tearoom. Great food, excellent value for money ...and cakes to di for!
