Located approx 20 min drive North. You can walk along the sand bar through the beautiful clear water or swim beside it, so floatys are a good idea for the kids. The sand beach in this Bay is awesome. Parking is available at the Katherine's Cove, but it fills up quickly. People also park along side the highway although its "not actually" a parking area.

Sand River is a nice family friendly hike trail along side the river and falls. Often in the summer when the flow of the river is low you can walk around on the large rocks of the river for a neat experience. This river is about a 20 min drive north of the cabin.

The Voyageur is the nearest place to grab some food in the restaurant. There is a small store to get groceries, and adult beverages at the LCBO. They are famous for their fresh white fish dinners, (The fish is caught out in Lake Superior.) and their apple fritters which they cook throughout the day. This is about a 20 min drive South.
