This iconic Frank Lloyd Wright house is only 20 minutes away! You do need to book tickets in advance, so I suggest going to the Fallingwater website and booking as soon as you know your plans. It is absolutely worth seeing, even if you have no particular interest in architecture or Frank Lloyd Wright.

Ohiopyle is a bustling tourist town. There are tons of opportunities to do pretty much whatever you want to do. There are restaurants, a pub, lots of outdoor activities, including many hiking options. I can't describe everything here.

Great xc ski area about 40 minutes from the cabin. Rental equipment available. Groomed for classic and skate skiing. Generally more snow up on the ridge than down in Ohiopyle or at the cabin. There's a webcam available at:

Local hiking options
Ohiopyle and the surrounding area is full of hiking trails. If you want to stay on the beaten path, then you'll find information on the Ohiopyle or Laurel Highlands website. If you want to find some good off the beaten path hikes, please ask me for some info. I'll need to know what level of challenge you're interested in, and how far you want to hike. Then I can make some recommendations. I discovered a lot of local hiking trails while trying to avoid the crowds during the pandemic.
