Monto is the the main town closest to Bloodwood Cabin.
Directions to Monto: Follow Old Rawbelle Road (right at main gate) and continue for 29.2km until you arrive at the Burnett Highway turn off - take a right onto the Highway. For 32.5km, follow Burnett Highway A3, north from the town. Please note most of the road is unsealed.

Cania Gorge National Park is a must for everyone to visit. Located 72kms (1 hour) from Bloodwood Cabin. Follow the Burnett Highway en route to Monto and you'll see the signs. This is a perfect place to hike, picnic and take in the local history. This region was once home to the famous Cania township where early settlers fossicked for gold and began an agricultural community. The Cania Dam is also a good place for fishing and water skiing. Please observe restrictions where fire and drought may limit choices made when visiting here.
