Sightseeing

The sight the smells the sounds. Bake and Shark is what brings people from all over the islands and the world here. It can be a bit of a headache to get there especially on the weekend with traffic; however, it's worth it. Freshly cooked food at your finger tips to enjoy . Fresh cold coconut water and warm sea and sand. Look out for warnings about the weather but most days it's just PERFECT!

Consejos para la ciudad

Facilidad para moverse por la casa

Rent a car if you're here longer than one night.

There are reliable buses which stops at the back of the house. They can take you to the capital Port of Spain, downtown Chaguanas or San Fernando. I would recommend a rental though if you don't have someone to take you around.
Costumbres y cultura

Doubles, roti and baked pies are local treats.

If you are confident driving or you have a local guide, go to Debe it's located on the southern part of the island about an hour from Chaguanas. Food vendors line the streets to serve you delicious local east Indian dishes. We also celebrate every creed and race so there's always a party some where :)
Qué debes empacar

Flip flops, shorts and Tees

Pack for warm weather even if it's raining it's very warm. Pack your hiking shoes too. A light coat for night life or as some restaurants don't allow shorts or tanks for dining.
Frases útiles

"Liming" means we are "hanging out with friends"

Go on a lime and enjoy the night life. St James, Chaguanas, on The Avenue or The Boulevard. If you're here for Carnival; everywhere is a "lime"
Viajar con niños

Rent a car

If your children are ages 5 up public transport may be fine. However, if you have to take a lot of stuff with you, it's best you rent a car.
