My favorite place to see sunrise or sunset is Wolfe Island Ferry. A brief transit (less than 20 minutes one way and free of charge) is often leave you speechless when you see where Lake Ontario flows into Saint-Lawrence River.

You may see it from the ferry or from the shore close to the Yacht Club.

In warm days, it is a nice place to walk in historical downtown. On the weekends, there are markets (Saturday for Farmers/ Sunday is a triple A market - local Artists, Artisans and Antiquaries). In winter, you can skate free on the outdoor rink (skates can be rented as well on site). After that you can warm up either at the fire-pits around the rink or pop up into many small coffee shops for hot drink and snack. Just keep yourself dressed properly as season dictates.

Good place to visit for historical sightseeing ... as well as excellent viewing place for the fireworks in summer and very scary place on Halloween time (month long performance).

An excellent authentic Chinese food. You will find recipes from South and North China there. Not a bank breaker but not a cheap place either. Reasonable priced and great meals.
