Patio sells gourmet burgers, three different styles of fries and great soft serve ice cream. My favorite items are the regular style fries and a soft serve chocolate cone. These might be the best French fries you ever have! Plan to spend about $10 per meal.

30 minutes south of Blanding. This museum features pioneers that settled Blanding and Bluff. It’s free to visit and it’s a cool place for adults and kids. Checkout la bunch of log cabins furnished with family heirlooms from the actual pioneers and their stories. There is a place for kids to pan for “gold”, hand carts to pull around, “steer” roping, and pioneer clothes for kids to dress up in. My favorite part is the homemade brownies and cookies sold for $1 .

Head west on 1600s, past the dead end sign and keep going until the road ends. You will be able to see the ruins on the other side of the canyon as soon as you park. The trail starts at the white hand rail. The trail takes you down the canyon and back up to the other side where the ruins are. You can do this hike start to finish in an hour. During the summer I recommend going after 5 pm when the whole canyon in shaded. This ruin is a must see!

The house on fire ruin is a famous ruin among photographers. If you get there in the morning at the right time, the sun hits the ruin and gives the ruin a pretty red glow making it look like it’s in “fire”. This hike is easy, only 2 miles round trip, and a must see! Just head west on the 95 for 19 miles . The turn off is right after the brown mule canyon sign at mile marker 102. The trail is on the left, just a quarter of mile after you turn off the highway. The trail is called south fork mule canyon. The trail takes you directly to the ruins.
