A stunning beach that has sugar-like sand like Mexico without the Palm trees. Hibbard Bay faces open Superior so you would get a cooler swim than at our protected Batchawana Bay. The rollers can be spectacular. The Edmund Fitzgerald went down near this Bay. Also agate-hunting can be good there. Great for hot summer days!

It is fun to visit this un-inhabited island. All you need is your own boat and a pick-nick! You can park your boat on the north side of the "Narrows" (this skinny part of the island) and walk across on the trail to an amazing beach. Just stay on the trail and watch out for poison ivy!
