“Just a few minutes north of the city is the Guadalajara Zoo. In addition to its fine setting - it overlooks the stunning Santiago Gorge - this fun attraction is one of the largest and most important zoos in Latin America. Highlights of its collection of animals include many rare species such as white lions, Bengal tigers, and black panthers, plus a large primate contingent featuring gorillas and orangutans, along with a number of native Mexican species such as Mexican wolves. Other highlights include a large aquarium and a reptile house with numerous lizards, snakes, and spiders. The zoo is also noted for its large aviaries, in particular two dedicated to songbirds an other species.”

“ Located on foot from the historic center in Calle Cabañas # 8.- It is a neoclassical building, emblematic of the city. It served as a home for orphans from 1810 to 1980. The very affordable entrance fee $ 45 MXN. Weights, the tour is guided if you so choose, and it really is what I suggest, because that way you know the history of this magnificent place and the explanation of the mural paintings by the master José Clemente Orozco.”
