“3 Minute Walk: Best breakfast pastries in town, but go early they usually have a line out the door; our favorite items: the egg sandwich, the ham & cheese pastry but ask for a side of mustard, and the beignet donut.”

“Northstar is an incredibly quality and consistent cafe. It’s our go-to, favorite restaurant. The Northstar burger is an amazing veggie burger that even non vegetarians will appreciate. And the Niman Ranch Cheeseburger is our favorite beef burger. The sweet potato fries are an awesome side! Ask for a couple sides of cayenne aioli as a dip for your sweet potato fries. And the fresh ginger-ale is unreal! We also love the Buddha Bowl, the Fiore Pizza with prosciutto, the Chicken Avocado Sandwich, and the Fish Sandwich. Northstar is also one of the best breakfast spots in the city! We prefer the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and the Big Burrito. You honestly can’t go wrong. In nice weather Northstar is an enjoyable walk.”

“Katalina’s is a small cafe just a short walk around the corner that serves local foods with a Latin flair for breakfast and lunch. They change their menu often but the pancake balls, the various tacos, and the chicken sandwich are some of our favorites. Get there early as the line to get in forms early!”

“Tasi is open for breakfast and is a great value. The french toast with caramelized bananas is delicious and they have the best biscuits and gravy we’ve had. If you’re really hungry order the kid-sized french toast and a half portion of the biscuits and gravy and you can try both for a surprisingly low price. ”

“Stauff’s in Grandview is a favorite local coffee shop and is about a 10 minute drive from our Airbnb. It’s more of an old school coffee experience. The place smells amazing right when you walk in as they have dozens of barrels of coffee beans. We really enjoy their Highlander Grogg beans.”
