“This natural reserve is so surreal and unique, it deserves a part of its own! Not many people know about this emerald jewel, which serves as a rich habitat for exotic plants like the pitcher plants, ferns and medicinal herbs. Carpeted by a thick layer of moss, you’ll probably feel like you are stepping into the Middle Earth of Malaysia. ”

“The Market is operate every Friday and Saturday night, Public Holiday & School Holidays. It was very crowded and one section was selling clothings and the other section was selling fruits, vegetables & food. Be selective when buying tea packets. Vegetables here look really fresh and good. If u like night markets and wish to avoid the traffic jam, book a room at one of the aprtments in Golden Hills. In addition, you can enjoyed both weekend nights walking along the night market after that take your steamboat dinner around the area. Best of all, the cool weather takes away the stress of squeezing through the crowds”

Point of Interest
“If the interest lies in scenic vistas, enjoying charismatic natural surroundings and enclosing the panoramic beauty in the form of pictures, then an ideal location to visit in Cameron Highlands is the Lavender gardens. Beautiful landscaped garden covered with purple haze lavender is a brilliant sight to admire. Though not very big but it has well paved pathways that gives an excellent view of the entire colourful scenic extravaganza. A leisure walk along the garden is a splendid way to spend some quality time with loved ones in midst the treasures of nature. ”

“Walking distance about 9 min 700m from Somersquare. Quick facts: The Smokehouse is built in 1937 in the style of a traditional timber framed English inn, complete with nooks and crannies, open fireplaces and crooked floors. You can relax and simply watch the world go by while enjoying a meal in the beautiful garden, or in the cooler months, you can make yourself at home inside by the open fireplaces. Recommendation: Afternoon tea from 11am to 6pm. ”

“Boh Tea Estate at Habu has kept most of its old buildings and retained its authenticity and charm. In contrast, the one in Sungai Palas exudes a modern feel with its focal point being the café housed in a contemporary structure overhanging a hill top. The one in Habu is less frequented by tourists and is hence more quiet and peaceful. The drive to the Habu centre is actually pleasant and enjoyable – just before arriving at the tea estate, the drive along a country road takes you through picturesque vegetable farms. The tea centre opens at 9am, they would let you in to the plantation past the guardhouse at 8.30am. You can find cold crisp mountain air and took in the beautiful views of the green rolling hills of neatly trimmed tea bushes during the morning. Some suggestions on how you could spend a relaxing morning there: Firstly, enjoy a leisurely morning walk. One option is to head down the path that leads to the workers’ village and an Indian school. A more popular option is to do an easy ~5-10 minutes climb (if you’re reasonably fit) up to the “View Point” at the back of the café, to enjoy the spectacular picture-postcard aerial view of the BOH tea factory surrounded by the green hills. Secondly, learn about tea processing by joining a ~10 minutes tour at the old factory. Thirdly, savour a cup of tea together with scones and sandwiches in the café with a view.”

“One of the arguably most interesting museums you can find in Malaysia can be found in Cameron Highlands. The Time Tunnel Museum pays homage to local culture and bygone times through over 1,000 artifacts, photographs and memorabilia. The best part is that it’s interactive as much as it is educational. You are welcome to pose with the props as you order a drink in an old kopitiam, run your grandmother’s kitchen, or ride a vintage motorcycle.”

“Cameron Lavender is a show garden between Tringkap and Kuala Terla, about 4km north of Kea Farm in Brinchang. One of the more recent attractions in the highlands, the garden features a beautiful lavender field with an assorment of other continental flowers on display, fringed with colourful statues and objects inspired by European countryside scenery. Within the compound, there is a small market for souvenirs, merchandise and souvenirs, while the garden has its own product store and a cafe on a viewing deck at top floor, serving lavender-infused meals including cakes and drinks. “It is the highest mountain in the beautiful destination of Cameron Highlands which can be reached through car. Situated on the Perak Pahang border of Malaysia, the greatest attraction of this mount is that the summit of the same can be reached by a car ride through concrete roads. There is a micro station present in the summit and the observation tower is the ideal place to savour the beauty of surrounding area. Infact the watch tower provides the best views of the pictorial Titiwangsa Mountains. The best way to reach the destination is through Brinchang town. It is a 12kms journey which takes about 3 hours to reach the top. ”
