Point of Interest
“Great hosts and great reviews from guests. Should be fun! You will most likely be shown the replica of the ship "Matthew" that John Cabot set sail from (Bristol, England) to North America. He supposedly arrived in Bonavista on June 24th 1497. Queen Elizabeth came in 1997 to commemorate the 500th year anniversary. There has been controversary as to whether he landed in Bonavista or St John's. I guess we will never know. ”
