Lovely old small stone cottage recently renovated to a high standard, located in a quiet hamlet within easy reach of the Wye Valley, Hereford and the Marches, Black Mountains and the Forest of Dean. The cottage is surrounded by woodland and nature with walks in every direction from your doorway. The village is accessed from a single track lane and is very rural and peaceful, yet only 4 miles from Monmouth. There are two working farms in the village and farm traffic can just occasionally be busy.

Set in tranquil countryside, on the Welsh Borders, down our private drive, a charming, spacious, 16th Century Tudor cottage enjoys beautiful views, secluded, walled, rose garden, private gate, secure for dogs. A perfect romantic cottage for couples. It boasts oak beams, ingle nook fireplace with wood burner and a large airy cruck beamed bedroom with stunning far reaching views east over Herefordshire countryside. Enjoy the morning sun over breakfast, near the open door and listen to the birds.

The Annex at The Oaks

The Annex is a separate building on two floors. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. There is a kingsize bed and a sofa bed available. We do provide extra laundry for the sofa bed at a cost of £15. Please let me know if you require the sofa bed making up. To access the bedroom are external stairs. Downstairs is a great open plan living space. There is private parking. Ross town is a mile away. PLEASE NOTE: the Annexe is next to a busy main road and traffic can be heard from the Annexe.

This comfortable Ground Floor Apartment provides the perfect base to access the towns Restaurants, Period Pubs and Bars while being in walking distance of the Forest and River. Symonds Yat, Mountain Bike trails, Canoes or Paddleboarding are only 15 minutes away. Within an hour, the Welsh mountains, Hay on Wye, Ledbury, Malvern hills and showgrounds. The Haystore is a self-contained annexe to our listed Barn. It is approached down a country lane through our lovely neighbours' farm. The Haystore has been fully refurbished to provide gorgeous accommodation with direct access onto National Trust parkland and the Wye Valley AONB. Within walking distance is a farm shop, and a little further two award winning pubs. Ross-on-Wye, Symonds Yat and the Black Mountains are a short drive making us an ideal base to explore the wider area.
