This is an odd one because we were not tourists/visitors, but live around the corner from here. During Tropical Storm Phillipe, we lost power for 4 days and needed to move in to somewhere so we could have heat, save everything in our fridge and freezer, and so I could work (I work from home). Eric was insanely accommodating not only getting us set up in the same day I contacted him for checking in that afternoon, but when we got power back he let us check out early and refunded the difference. He also checked in to make sure we were doing all right even though he was not physically close by at the time, so we greatly appreciated how accommodating he was!
As other have noted, the unit is fairly bare hones compared to many places we have stayed. It could benefit from a few small things like a microwave and some basic supplies like paper towels and trays that fit in the oven. Depending upon what you are coming in for this may not be a big deal, but we were basically abandoning our home at the last minute for just a couple of days so we had to work with what we had. Also, some of the fixtures were problematic like the shower curtain bar slipping off of the wall (it's not installed correctly) and some cheaper furniture that feels like it will fall apart with too much pressure or movement. FYI, the furniture does not match the pictures as there have been some updates. It is all comparable, but just took me a bit by surprise when we walked through the door.
For the area, you are in a perfect location to get to anything in Providence and the surrounding area. We obviously love the area since we live here, so recommend you come! For the price and location, you'd do very well staying here, and Eric is a wonderful host.
