Guest was unreasonable, hostile and even threatening. Guest attempted to request a full refund for their entire stay due to my hired maid service being late the day of their check-in. The guest failed to answer their phone after repeated attempts were made to contact them. The maid service proceeded, with my permission, cleaning and prepping the property per usual. When the guest finally contacted me the maid service had already finished and vacated the property.
The guest enjoyed 3 days of accommodations (at a highly discounted rate for peak beach season) in a cleaned and prepped property and neglected to communicate any further grievances until after they had checked out and vacated the property. They did not reply to my text communication (which outlined exactly what had occurred) until after they checked out then proceeded to demand a full refund, to the point of making threats.
As I attempted to operate in good-faith and met all my obligations as a Airbnb host, I did not feel that any compensation was due.
This is the first time I’ve ever given a poor review to a guest.
I can not recommend them.
