Your room is set up with clean linens on a queen bed. You have your own bathroom. The room is about 12x12. The house is older and considered a historical building. We are slowly renovating the home and yard so it's a work in progress. The yard needs landscaping, a project for next spring. We have Wifi for internet. I pay for the best wifi Comcast offers. We are only two minutes off of highway 101 on the Southside. Although we are off the main drag, we sit back from the road. If you focus on it, you can hear traffic. Trash is taken Thursday nights around 4am, which lasts about five minutes. The room is a basic room to stay for the night. There is a back porch to sit if you wish, and a bathroom. The rest of the house is off limits as we are a busy working family. Your Airbnb fees covers the room, bathroom and back porch. If you're staying longer than one night, I'm happy to discuss minimal use of kitchen. Although your room is set up with everything needed for a short stay, the house is very busy with my art studio stuff and other projects continually going on. We live and work in the house, and you'll be seeing our life going on.

We have pets, cat and dog. To reiterate again, our house and yard is slowly in the process of being fixed up. We've recently moved from a six bedroom to a 3, so the house is busy while downgrading. It's an old house and needs lots of things to bring it up to modern standards, but in the mean time, it's got a nice vintage Bohemian flavor to it. I'm an artist and work from the house. The side porch area is a nice place to sit outside for tea. I have a little area in the back for meditation. And there is air conditioning for these record heat waves. So, if you're in need of a place to stay the night while passing through town, or here on business and just need a room for a short stay, our place would be perfect for you. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel/resort point of destination sort of stay, my place would probably not be right for you. But, if you like having philosophical conversations with a working artist (who is happy to share her homemade food if she's got some cook'n) and well seasoned traveler of life's journeys and lessons, my place might be just right for you!

We look forward to hosting you soon on your travels!!

Ingrid is a gracious host. The room is sweet and well appointed. When you turn in the driveway from the street, it's the first house on the right

We came to Ukiah for a friends wedding at Nelson Family Vineyards, and decided to try an Airbnb instead of the usual hotel. So glad we did! Ingrid was a fantastic host - very responsive and accommodating, and checked in on us often (but not too often) to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She's a true local and had tons of great recommendations of things to do and see in the area. Super comfy bed, and charming house full of character. Would recommend!

This was a delightful old house to stay in - full of character, and Ingrid was a pleasure to talk with. Bed was very welcoming and (for me) I slept well! Right next door to a great Mexican restaurant, and right off the highway, so quite easy to find.

Ingrid is a great host who's interesting to chat with. She gave us some very good recommendations where to go out for dinner. However the place didn't really meet with our expectations. It was slightly noisier than we expected due to a garbage truck working very late at night (that's just bad luck for us). The neighborhood didn't feel very safe to us. Location is good when you travel through California though. We thought it was a bit too expensive for this room and the surrounding neighborhood.

Respuesta de Ingrid:
I'm sorry you felt this way...Motel 6 is the cheapest motel in town at $67 plus tax per night on off nights, goes up from there. They also charge another $10 for wi fi. You could have stayed there. My room is $53 week nights and $63 weekends for single person, with and $10 cleaning fee. Plus, I give guest homemade soap, coffee/tea/cream/snacks, free wi fi, etc The area that I live is very safe although there may be transients here and there. Ukiah is just not a destination, it is a place to pass through. But what town, city doesn't have transients. I thought we connected and had a great conversation, your review..undoes all that. I"m sorry..I couldn't let you stay for free, we all have bills to pay. If you're looking for a five star Motel experience, with swimming pool and heavily groomed landscaping, sterile and silent, then there are plenty of those kind of places to stay around, although you're looking at $150 or more for that kind of environment. It's all relative. You miss the point of (URL HIDDEN) about the people you meet, and although I thought we a great conversation where we divulged and learned a lot from each other, you make me realize, it was just hot air from your end....Really too bad, because I valued you as people...but. obviously it wasn't mutual. It's one thing if a host doesn't try to make their place appealing and put their heart into it making it the best they can but I do try my best to make what I have as nice as I can..and you accounted nothing for that.
