Overall, a very good value. Just a few things to note.
If you arrive after hours (as I did), you have to go to the concierge in another building about a block away to check in, which is a bit of a hassle. Since the concierge has to show you where to park and then walks you to the unit’s building, check-in took about twenty minutes. That other building (whose entrance is on Franklin St., as the address suggests, despite what it looks like on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps, which implies that the entrance is on Portland St.) is also where you drop off the key after your stay.
I would have appreciated a bit more information about the check-out procedure and more details about where to park on arrival (the concierge showed me where to park during the check-in but I had to park "illegally" just before checking in because I couldn't find parking near the concierge's building), but overall the communication was friendly and efficient. The packet of information was helpful.
Great location if you are doing things downtown. Close to theaters, library, restaurants, etc. Unfortunately, it's also close to a railway switching yard, so you will hear train cars scraping and banging together late at night, so beware if you're a light sleeper. The building itself was quiet and peaceful.
I appreciated the security of the building (a fob is required to enter), and the location of the unit at one corner of the building meant more natural light came into the living room.
The unit could use a bit of improvement (new blinds to replace the bent or non-functioning horizontal blinds, and a bit more decoration as the unit is a bit spare), but the unit is a good value for the area. Overall, I was pleased to stay in this unit.
