Jima's place is an absolutely ideal location for anyone who wants ready access to the restaurants and museums and the wonderful music life of San Francisco as well as the dizzying options in the surrounding area - NAPA Valley wineries, Golden Gate and Point Reyes Recreational areas, the city of Oakland, even Yellowstone if you feel like a longer drive. I went to Hog Island Oyster's place in Marshall for oysters fresh from their beds and various parts of Point Reyes National Seashore in a day's drive, finishing with a nosh on the water in Sausilito. It was a 20 minute drive from Sausilito to Jima's place at the end of this day.
Jima's place is very quiet, I slept like a log. The WiFi is solid. The Air BnB gets a parking spot under the carport. The washing machine and dryer were easy to access. The sitting area is in an unheated porch area, but I was there in late September and found it heated up fine during the day.
It is by far the best idea to use public transportation into San Francisco, but Jima can offer advice on that. His place is easy to both the Larkspur Ferry and buses into the city. Note to anyone using a rental car, the bridges use a automatic tolling system into the city. It is easily handled if you arrange for it when you pick up your rental or if you read the material and go online to pre-pay the bridge fee for going into SF. Rental car companies will also take care of it if you find yourself going across the bridge without arranging for it, but you will save yourself a convenience fee if you stay on top of this. Uber works great in this area as well.
Visiting this area turns into a daily set of choices because it is so rich in options. Jima's place is a a perfect jump point, and Jima is a gracious host.
