This old house is rustic and wonderful, with lots of quirky charm. The location is super for Old Town Albuquerque, freeway access and good restaurants. During our stay, the weather shifted from 90 degrees on our arrival day to below 50 degrees and heavy rain the next afternoon. Kay contacted us immediately to see about turning on the heat, which none of us expected we would need. Our host, Kay was wonderful, meeting us upon arrival, providing umbrellas for our use, and lots of information on local favorites. The garden ambiance (after the storm) was inviting and pleasant.

Great location and a really cool place to stay. It’s a historic house, but plenty big. Plus, it’s in a great location, walkable to old town, and Kay was a wonderful host.

Kay and her family are warm, friendly, and inviting! The place is like an adorable adobe cottage with everything you need to have a great stay. We were able to walk almost everywhere! The kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed. There was WIFI, a great selection of movies for our kids (and Netflix) along with an amazing private patio. We loved being able to walk to that amazing park right near explora and the natural history museum. We would stay again! Great value!

The patio is amazing! We spent a fair bit of time out there and really enjoyed that. It is a very old adobe house which is one reason we stayed there. You get a sense of grounding and solidness of the earth. It is a small place and a bit dark but overall very nice and the patio makes it so worth while.

This is a fun house, and Kay has put in some elbow grease to make it very convenient while maintaining some original features! The location was great for proximity to children's activities such as the aquarium and museum. Kay has everything you need.

This was our second stay at Kay's compound and we enjoyed our stay even more than our first visit. This time we stayed in a different unit, an old cottage , with high ceilings. It was quite large, very comfortable, clean and quiet(URL HIDDEN) It was a great value for the money. I hope it will be available when we visit Albuquerque again. Joan

Kay, the host, is an interesting and friendly person. She is more than willing to provide suggestions for restaurants, etc. She also makes numerous brochures, local publications, and maps available for guidance to local activities, shopping, dining, etc. The adobe casita was fully equipped and it felt like home. We enjoyed sitting in the garden courtyard. This location is fantastic; little traffic, yet Old Town is only a few minutes walk away.
