Serene 2-bedroom, 2-bath log house on 7 acres off coastal road. Dining room and deck overlook a pond. Great room with fireplace. Well-equipped gourmet kitchen with butcher-block island. Large master loft with tub and separate shower.

In order to reasonably regulate usage of the house, we ask that children and pets be included in the number of guests specified for a maximum of 5 total. Thank you!

El lugar

The house is on a 7 acre parcel with one groomed and landscaped acre surrounding the house.
Our Lincoln Log cabin has central heating. Sunlight fills the house through skylights and large windows. The decorative pond has water lilies and goldfish.
Except for Verizon, cell phone reception at the property is poor. A cell phone booster improves AT&T reception if the phone is used very close to the base.

Disponible para huéspedes

The house, deck, porch and and all areas surrounding the house. Garage is reserved for owner storage. Wheelchair access can be arranged through the garage per advance request.

Atención a los huéspedes

Our local manager Cindy Farabi will bring you the keys and will be available if needed.

Otros aspectos destacables

Murphy's Market in the small village of Trinidad is a wonderful full service grocery with some organic fruit and vegetables, fresh fish, and some fresh baked items. There is an excellent restaurant, Larrupin Cafe, about a five minute walk from the house. We love the included appetizer tray which accompanies all orders. For quick hiking trips Patrick's Point State Park is located about 2 miles North of the house. Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, about 1/2 hr. North of the house is the best place to explore the redwoods and Fern Canyon. Hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing are great nearby activities. Swimming in the ocean is dangerous, so we recommend going inland to a river, the Mad River if flowing well or the Trinity river for fishing and swimming. It's about an hour's drive inland.

Lesley's cabin could not be more perfect for both the location and coziness factors! My husband and I spent the last two days of our Pacific Northwest down to California roadtrip honeymoon there as we have never been to the Redwoods. It's the perfect place to not only escape into the Redwoods and find true peace and quiet but also explore the coastal gem that is the village of Trinidad. The cabin is so clean, well-equipped with anything you could need to cook, make a fire, and just relax. Lesley and her house manager Cindy were very responsive and made sure we were taken care of. We would recommend highly!

Great place to stay in Trinidad! The yard is (URL HIDDEN) green and completely private. Perfect yard and home for traveling with well behaved pets, plenty of room and very clean.

This stay was magical. From the second you pull up the drive way to morning coffee by the pond. Excellent location. Close to redwoods and Trinidad Bay was beautiful. The sunsets! Will be back but with more time to explore.

This log home is beautiful, quiet and a unique place to relax and have a quiet, reflective vacation. VERY easy access to all coastal offerings and Trinidad shops and stores. We hope to return someday.

This house almost feels like it popped out for a fairy tale - beautiful cabin hidden from the public eye by a long driveway and mature trees. We loved everything about it - from the spacious kitchen to good size bedrooms to the modern conveniences. The area is perfect for a family vacation with so many things to do - we loved every minute of it and were sad to leave. We will come back for sure

If you are looking for the best location to call home base for exploring the NorCal coast and Redwood forests, there can be no better location. The home is elegantly comfortable and within easy reach of some of the best hiking anywhere. Patrick's Point is just minutes away and offers easily one of the most stunning parks — from forest to coastal hikes, beaches and seal-watching, geological interest and much more, I could've spent a week just exploring this one great space. Fern Canyon is a must and not more than 20 minutes up 101. The beach in Trinidad is amazing and friendly in all the best ways possible. Luffenholtz Beach just minutes to the south is spectacular and a relatively easy climb. Jedidiah Smith State Park is an hour+ drive North and well worth the time and effort to get there. Trinidad is a small town with robust charm and a very decent grocery store. There are several cute boutiques and two lighthouses: one is a memorial and the other, functional but a solid hike to reach. The Larrupin' Cafe is an easy walk from the house. We ate there twice: once on the patio and once inside. We much preferred the patio and the jazz band. Service was a bit stiff, the food was good but not spectacular. However, when you stay at Lesley's, you'll look forward to coming 'home' at the end of the day and preparing your own meals in the well-equipped kitchen. I recommend Lesley's house for anyone seeking sanctuary.

I love to hike, bike, and swim, read and entertain family and friends. There are still new things I'd like to do in Trinidad. For example, I'd love to kayak in the ocean in and around Trinidad Bay. When I was at UCLA, I spend my summers in Yosemite National Park at first working for the concession company and later a ranger/naturalist. I felt lucky to be able to hike and do easier rock climbs on my days off. To recharge and relax I prefer the simple things especially hiking and discovering the beauty in all wilder areas. My family lives in the Bay area and in Southern California. My kids work in the Bay area at start-ups in the city. I hope you'll enjoy your visit to Trinidad, California
