We are a small acreage just 15 minutes from Iowa City, 7 minutes from Solon, and 30 minutes from the Cedar Rapids airport. Our converted barn is at the back of the property, behind the house. There is a separate road leading back to the barn for super convenient parking. It’s rustic, cozy, warm and inviting.

The Milk House at Lucky Star Farm

The Milk House is a unique space located in the countryside, between Iowa City and Kalona. This 700 square foot home has ample parking and room for four adults. The house is well appointed with a full kitchen, two luxurious queen beds, wifi and a Smart TV. Guests are invited to explore our 20-acre working farm with lots of livestock and two friendly dogs. After a day of shopping and strolling on the main road, stop by one of the three wineries or the brewery all within walking distance of Sandstone Haus. Come back to your suite and slip into one of our custom robes while you fill the whirlpool for a night or relaxation.

Access is available through a private door located on the side of the barn, which leads directly into our charming greenhouse.
